NOT for food, concept-kitchen disegnata da Enzo Eusebi (Nothing Studio) in collaborazione con l’Ufficio Progettazione Berloni. Realizzato in fibra di carbonio, NOT for food include un sistema di mobili che sintetizzano le funzioni dello spazio cucina e quelle legate al lavoro/relax.

Pensata per ambienti aperti e liberi, è in fibra di carbonio ed è composta da due parti: una zona attrezzata e una dove concedersi una pausa relax in poltrona ascoltando la musica e utilizzando internet. La scelta dei colori è rigorosa: bianco lucido la seduta, nero opaco il resto.

Conveniently situated at the crossroads of Beijing’s Golden Triangle, the apartment has a view from the green capital diplomatic compound up to the Forbidden City. This unique luxurious penthouse apartment, part of an exquisite collection of only 23 units, enjoys the most privileged view over the city and is amongst the best that China’s fastchanging capital can offer.

The architecture of the building derives its inspiration from nature. Designed by world renowned architects Enzo Eusebi, Li Weimian and Arthur Erickson, the two residential towers are set to be completed by the end of 2006. At a height of 98.23 metres, they are shaped like the famouse Kunlun Mountain, enhancing the architecture all the way down. At the first point of impression, they deliver all this and beyond.

Il nuovo progetto dal nome ‘Not for food’ è stato affidato, in collaborazione con l’Ufficio Progettazione Berloni, a Enzo Eusebi di Nothing Studio. È un nuovo modo di interpretare la zona cucina con materiali innovativi. Il progetto, che integra innovazione formale e tecnologica, è realizzato in materiali compositi avanzati, come le fibre di carbonio. La scelta dei colori è rigorosa: bianco lucido per la seduta e nero opaco per il resto. Gli accessori sono in vetro colorato nero.

Displayed on a spotlit stage surrounded by water and darkness, Berloni’s “NOT for food” redefined the kitchen not as a room but in terms of the social interactions that occur there throughout the day. Created by architect Enzo Eusebi, of Nothing Studio, and the Berlin Design Studio, the concept kitchen was an arced, two-in-one furniture system that is ideal for open-plan homes. One part responds to the functional needs of cooking and cleaning while the other caters to working and relaxing.

Progetto avveniristico e originale che propone innovative possibilità formali e programmatiche, con diversi spunti destinati a diventare termini di riferimento nei prossimi anni. Realizzato in fibra di carbonio, questo sistema integrato di mobili interpreta la zona cucina come un luogo deputato non solo alle attività tradizionalmente legate all’ambiente, come cucinare e mangiare, ma anche come angolo relax, per ascoltare la musica, lavorare al computer, connettersi a internet ecc.

Enzo Eusebi (Nothing Studio) projected the kitchen of the future Not for Food, made in leftover composite materials (carbon fibre), according to the open space concept, multi-functional and multiple systems.
